NAICS & SIC Industry Classification Reference Data

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is the official standard used by the U.S. government to classify businesses for economic analysis, reporting, and regulatory purposes. Introduced in 1997 as the successor to the SIC system, NAICS has undergone multiple updates—most recently in 2022—to reflect the evolving structure of the economy.

As part of our Data-as-a-Service offering, we provide a fully curated reference package that includes:

  • The latest NAICS 2022 codes
  • The complete historical NAICS codes 1997, 2002, 2012, 2017 and current 2022
  • The final SIC code set
  • A clean, validated crosswalk between SIC and NAICS
  • All files delivered in optimized Parquet format for fast ingestion and querying as well as CSV and JSON formats
  • A Databricks-ready notebook with table definitions, schema details, and automated loading scripts
  • An Online Data Catalog
